Xchangeteam North has been in operation since 2003 and covers the whole northern region from Liverpool to Hull, providing both freelance and permanent resourcing solutions. Our freelance consultants’ and permanent candidates' skills and experience are finding a very receptive base of clients who have previously struggled to find a hub to access Northern talent. In this way, Xchangeteam North aims to fill the gap often left by other, more traditional, recruitment or employment agencies. We pride ourselves on being unlike any other recruitment agency by successfully pioneering the concept of freelancing in the region and demonstrating the benefits in practice.

The communications industry is thriving across the north of England. Our work in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle in particular has revealed a constant stream of first-class projects for freelance consultants and permanent candidates at all levels in these locations. Other areas where Xchangeteam North is making an impression include Carlisle, Durham, Liverpool, Hull, Doncaster and Sheffield.

On the freelance side, agencies provide around 50% of all briefs using people for short-term assignments typically for two to five days per week. Plcs and SMEs are providing the remainder and are more likely to use a consultant on a longer-term basis of six months or more. Over 1,000 of our most talented freelance consultants and permanent candidates are registered with Xchangeteam across the north. Their experience ranges from Account Executive level to Board Director. Senior consultants with specialisms that are in demand such as healthcare and internal communications are able to command high daily rates (£250+) or salaries. Many consultants are being used at an implementation level (ie Account Manager).
