Scotland’s dynamic marketing and creative services industry can
now access over 650 consultants around the country from Shetland to Dumfries.
Gordon Cherrington who is running Xchangeteam Scotland’s operation
from a base in Edinburgh is finding that, businesses of all sizes, agencies
and public sector bodies, are welcoming the arrival of a hub for accessing
Scottish talent - both freelance and permanent. Xchangeteam Scotland aims
to fill the gap often left by other, more traditional employment agencies.
We pride ourselves on being unlike any other employment agency in this
respect.
All over Scotland, our work shows that consultants are in demand, especially
those operating in PR, copywriting and design. Whether it’s in Inverness,
Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth or Glasgow, large public sector bodies are typically
using freelance consultants on a specific project basis. Longer-term contracts,
on the other hand, are common in corporate companies operating in the financial,
professional services, transport, distribution and education industries.
Advertising, design and below-the-line marketing agencies primarily use
freelance copywriters and designers, although some will use account handlers
occasionally too. Take a look at our selected
client list to find out more about our clients.
Freelance consultants and permanent candidates registering with Xchangeteam
Scotland are forming a rapidly growing, first-class, talent pool north
of the border. Their backgrounds vary widely but many have experience
in PR or marketing, both in agencies and in-house. Consultants have typically
worked in financial services, the public sector, sports and the technology
industries. Many consultants were originally journalists and have now
moved into PR or copywriting. Consultants range from those with one or
two years’ experience to the very senior levels.
Get in touch with Gordon whether you are a prospective client or a marketing
and creative services professional considering freelancing or looking
for your next permanent job. He’d be delighted to meet up with you
to discuss your requirements – anytime, anyplace, anywhere!
