Introduction to Internet and Social Media Workshop

Workshop Outline
This one day workshop is designed to give you an introduction in to internet and social media so that you will learn how to use Google, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIN for business. It is ideal for those who are wanting to use social media to start effectively promoting their business online but are not sure how or are struggling to. The workshop is hands-on, where possible you will use your own social media accounts, so that once back at the office you will be able to continue applying what you have learnt.

Seminar Outline
This half day seminar will cover how you can potentially develop an internet marketing strategy to promote your business online through internet media, social media and sales system tools. Internet media tools primarily involve the Google Tools to effectively advertise your business within their search engine. (Google currently owns 90% of the UK search engine market). Social media tools are using online networking platforms like LinkedIN, Twitter and Facebook to engage and interact with your customer base.
A sales system is using a contact database system with e-marketing capability (often known as customer relationship management tools) to effectively target your customer base with newsletters and eshots. By the end of the morning you will have an understanding of how you can integrate the main tools available effectively to develop an internet marketing strategy.
This seminar is for all businesses who:
- Are aware of internet and social marketing but are not sure how it can strategically benefit their business.

It is ideal for those looking for an advanced social media course, where you will learn hands-on how to use advanced features in Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN to further promote and engage effectively within their industry. In addition, it will introduce new tools like YouTube, Blogs, RSS Feeds/Google Alerts, Google Buzz, Foursquare, Digg and Stumbleupon. And how you can interact these tools with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN so that you are cross promoting your business on many platforms and improving website search engine optimisation (SEO).
By using these social media tools it will allow even more customers to find you on the online platforms they like to use. You will also cover how to further develop your social networking strategy so that social media can become at the heart of your business for internal communications, social marketing and real time customer service engagement.
