The weatherman was on our side last Friday 12th August, with not a drop of rain in sight. We arrived at Regents Park, wearing our trainers, shorts and waited for the games to commence.
It began with the war paint being applied, either green stars, red stripes or in some cases yellow blobs (the yellow paint didn't really show up too well). Teams were therefore ready to roll.
There was an egg and spoon race, with Cadburys eggs of course, 3 legged race with a dramatic ending (a face down finish by Sharon and Lynda) and a bouncing space hopper event (everyone should try this at least once in their life... it's a must!).
Overall it was a successful afternoon. After the races were done and the blue team took their victory and their wonderful silver cup trophy, it was time to enjoy the rest of the Pimms and food on a chilled summers evening.
